Dear Scrapbooking Sisters,
When I was walking in a store the day before Halloween and almost all the Halloween decorations were gone, I wasn’t surprised. What I was surprised about was that the store was filled with Christmas stuff galore! I thought that maybe the store was getting a little ahead of itself. But last night, just a week later I was walking through another store and in the background I could hear the words to “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”. At first I was again taken aback at the thought of the holidays approaching, but then I was excited! I wanted to run home and set up my Christmas tree - luckily my husband held me back - “Wait until after Thanksgiving,” he said.
So maybe we can’t get that tree up just yet, but we can start pulling out pictures of past holidays and get to work on them. Or if you really want to get on top of things, you could start making those Christmas cards early this year. Why not be the first to send yours out this year! So to all of you out there who wish we had Christmas in July, don’t worry! It seems like every year the Christmas celebrating starts earlier and earlier. Maybe in about ten years, you will be walking through a store on Independence Day and not be hearing “The Star Spangled Banner” but you’ll hear “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”!
