Question: I am wondering does the Cricut cut thru chipboard?  I am thinking if it does it could save me some $$$$$$$$$ !!!!!!!!

Answer: No, it doesn’t cut through chipboard.  The thickest paper that Cricut was made for is Bazzill cardstock.  Some of the manual diecutting machines do cut through chipboard - like Cuttlebug.  If you want to get an electronic one, check out the Click N Kut or the Craft Robo Pro II.  They are pricey, but do just about anything.

I WAS WONDERING WHAT SIZE OF PAPER/CHIPBOARD THE CUTTLEBUG CAN USE WITH THE LEST WASTE, WHEN USING THERE ALPHABET……. AND WHAT GAUGE/THICKNESS?
AND DO YOU KNOW OF ANY GOOD SITES THAT HAVE TIPS AND TRICK ON USING THE CUTTLEBUG? THANKS

Answer:  The size of paper depends on what size of item you are cutting/embossing.  Since the width of the machine is about 6″, you can fit paper that wide in.  I usually cut my paper closer to the size of the thing I am die cutting/embossing.  Just make sure you give yourself enough room so you make sure you get the whole diecut on the paper.  As for thickness, I would probably go for thinner, rather than thicker papers/cardstock/chipboard.  I am not sure exactly the gauge.  ProvoCraft.com (the manufacturer is a good website to check out and you can email and call them with specifics on the machine too.
