Question: I am just starting to scrapbook and I have a question about transparency paper… How do you use it? Do I just glue the whole transparency to my my paper? This might sound crazy but I just want to make sure I am doing it right.. I have the same question about vellum paper. I am really confused with these.. Thanks a Bunch
Answer: Those are great questions! Transparency paper can be adhered in lots of ways (I use all of these ways with transparency paper too). I usually don’t use glue because it doesn’t stick very well and you can usually see it (I will sometimes use tape runners or double stick tape if there is something that will cover it up like an embellishment). My favorite ways to adhere vellum or transparency are sewing, brads, or eyelets. I will also use paperclips if it is a smaller piece of vellum or transparency. Another idea is to hide the edge with other paper that is glued over the transparency’s edge and onto the background paper.
For vellum the only difference is that you can use vellum glue and it holds well.
