Where can I buy plain chipboard coasters or cardboard coasters?

February 12th, 2008

Question: I am looking for plain cardboard coasters to decorate-where do I buy them?

Answer:  We have “Really Big Square Tags” that go from 3″ square to 5″ square.  My favorites are from Bazzill.   These are all plain chipboard tags/coasters that you decorate yourself. I have also found a few places that you can order some:

1.) StarLitStudio (on eBay) - 15 white medium weight ($1.39), 20 white light weight ($1.49)

2.) American Coaster Company (you have to get a quote from them, but it will range for around $25-$35 for 1,000 heavy/medium weight coasters - this includes the shipping).  This is probably the most cost effective way to go - maybe get some friends to split the cost with you.

Here’s who you contact to get a quote on sending you the plain ones:

What website has the best scrapbook/cardmaking gallery?

February 12th, 2008

Question: I need ideas for my son’s first birthday invite. What website has the best scrapbook/cardmaking gallery?
Answer: I love getting ideas from galleries!  Here are the ones that I think are the best:

1.) Scrapbook.com - http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/ (I think this gallery is set up the best, very easy to search, and has super cute ideas!)

2.) Scrap Jazz - http://www.scrapjazz.com/gallery/ (My 2nd favorite gallery)

3.) Creating Keepsakes - http://www.creatingkeepsakes.com/gallery/  (It is harder to search this one, but there are lots of great ideas.)

4.) Scrapbook Flair - http://www.scrapbookflair.com/gallery

5.) the shabby shoppe - http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/photopost/index.php

I am looking for Hiller Size Wise 3ring Album.

February 7th, 2008

Question: I am looking for Hiller Size Wise 3ring Album.  I used to purchase at Michaels, but they no longer carry them.

Answer:  We do carry several Hiller brand binders here.  They look the same as the Hiller Size Wise that I found on this website where several other people are in search of the same album.  I am guessing that they have changed the name and phased out the “Size Wise” name.  From the research I have done, it looks like We R Memory Keepers is the one who actually makes/markets the brand Hiller (I think the one you mention is Hiller Living Oak).  Their website wasn’t much help because they do not sell directly to individuals.  I hope that the albums on our site are what you are looking for!

How do you use the Silent Setter?

February 7th, 2008

Question: How do you use the Silent Setter to set eyelets?  Are all eyelets suppose to have backs?
I love your web site.

Answer: There is a great tutorial for the Silent Setter here with pictures on how to use it and what it should look like when finished.  Eyelets are shaped so that when you “set them” the metal “bends” to make a back - so it isn’t a separate piece of metal.
