How do you put text in a circle using Microsoft Works?

March 14th, 2008

Question: Dear Robin,

I’m trying to find a way to get text centered inside a circle, other than just the type a few words, enter,  type a few more, and just keep trying til I get it right…which is what I’ve been doing.  Some way to like do a justify…but inside the circle.  Several people have told me that ms works will do it…but my format box on ms doesn’t have the shape option.   Any ideas…I wouldn’t be opposed to buying software if it were easy to use.   Thanks for any help you can give….Debbie in NC

Answer:  I know how to do it in Microsoft Word and in Photoshop.  Word is fairly simple and there are lots of online tutorials.  I also think Photoshop is easy to use, but I have been using it for several years (Photoshop is great too for editing photos, creating brochures, digital scrapbooking, etc). As far as I could find, there are no tutorials for Works, but it might work the same as Word.

1. For Word, check out this tutorial: http://jay-freedman.info/triangle_text.doc

2.  For Photoshop, check out these:
